ECO 251: Principles of Microeconomics

Assignment

Please use your knowledge of how to search Library resourcesImage of a person working on a computer. to find information about the following economists: Adam Smith, Jean-Baptiste, John Locke, et al.

For this assignment, you are to research using at least Image of a person working on a computer. ONE Library book out of a minimum of four resources. Your final submitted work will consist of 4-5 pages.

You may work with a partner or alone.

The content will consist of the following research questions:

  1. What was the contribution that this person made to the American Industrial Revolution?
  2. Name and explain at least three economic principles that we have studied that apply to this person.
  3. What is going on today with the company that this person founded?
  4. What criticism did this person take from business and social sectors?
  5. Conclude with a summary showing a positive economic statement.

Some contributors to the American Industrial Revolution that you may consider: Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Cornelius Vanderbilt, J. Pierpont Morgan, John D. Rockefeller, Fredrick W. Taylor, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, W.K. Kellogg, George Westinghouse.
